This is a really quick way to prepare tofu, with the added bonus of no oil. I use this method to cook oil-free tofu steaks each time I want tofu for a sandwich, veggie bowl or a salad. 2 minutes and you’re done.

Instructions
  1. Cut the tofu block into 1/2 inch slices. Sprinkle a bit of each of the seasonings onto just one side of each of the slices (you may need more or less seasoning depending on how many slices you decide to use)
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet on medium low until hot. Once hot, put the tofu slices in the skillet, spice-coated side down
  3. While the slices are cooking, sprinkle the seasonings on the non-coated part of the tofu.
  4. Each stove is different, so cook the slices until you check them with your spatula and you are able to turn them over to the other side without them sticking (you may need to practice a few times).
  5. Cook the second side of the tofu until you have a similar result as the first side.
  6. They should be golden and easy to turn over. Remove from pan, turn off heat and add to your favorite salad, sandwich or veggie bowl.
